Description: |
As a member of our Field Service team, you will install, operate, diagnose, repair, perform perventive maintenance and recalibrate Sonoscan systems at customer sites throughout North America. You will use manufacturing and field service documentation to complete upgrades to equipment already in place, so the ability to read and understand electronic schematic diagrams and engineering drawings is required. You will frequently use hand tools, oscilloscope and other standard test devices to quickly service the needs of our instruments.
The Field Service Engineer is teh \\\'face of Sonoscan\\\' to our customers and the key contact for emergency support. Overnight travel with limited notice is required. The ability to provide positive customer experiences is a must-have skill. When not working with our customers in the field, you\\\'ll work from our Santa Clara, California office in assisting customers throughout the world via telephone, fax and e-mail.
Knowledge of GMP is required, as is absolute adherence to safety. Sonoscan offers an excellent compensation and benefit package. We welcome responses from outside the Santa Clara / San Jose/ South Bay area, however, no relocation expenses are paid. |

Requirements: |
- Minimum: Associates Degree (Bachelor\'s perferred) in Electronics
- English as primary language required; Mandarin, Spanish or other language a plus.
- Excellent direct customer relatonship and telephone skills are required.
- Minimum: 1 year technical service experience.
- Must have a valid driver\'s license and a valid US issued passport.
- Knowledge of computer controlled instrumentation, A+ certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance; other actions include bending, stooping and standing for extended periods while performing equipment repair.
- Standard work-week (40 hours) applies, ability to provide emergency support at other times, including weekends, maybe required.
