In the image the echoes from the ultrasonic transducer were gated on the interface between the silicon stack and the patterned metallic buss bar on a large solar panel.

Result

The strongest signals were reflected by the white areas associated with the pattern of the buss bar and at the edges of the buss bar. These areas are delaminations between the silicon stack and the metal buss bar. The darker grey areas spread across the pattern are representative of good bonds between the silicon and the buss bar.
